Teamwork, innovation, and entrepreneurship are the ingredients that make Basal a reality today, in China, Colombia and Hong Kong. Our business idea was born with the prospect of meeting and satisfying needs, building trust, strengthening human relationships, enter new markets that were competitive to generate an attractive value proposition through the back office and business processes outsourcing (BPO) and facilitating the network of strategic alliances that are part of our business group.

“After a few years of work experience in Colombia and always in the constant search for new opportunities, in 2009 we managed to enter the Chinese market, in the area of quality control and factory auditing. Based on this experience, Basal International Commerce was born as a purchasing agent for well-known brands in Colombia; and in search of providing new needs, detected in the market, it takes a turn becoming Basal Trading”

During these ten years Basal we have reached countries such as: Turquía, India, EE.UU Honduras, Panamá, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Perú, to import products from the textile sector fashion, footwear, construction, protection materials, technology, machinery among others. Likewise, the certification of reliable and quality suppliers required by our customers in Latin America.

We have participated in 20 versions of the Canton Fair and we have a VIP membership, we attended for the second time china’s largest import fair, “China International Import Expo” CIIE, we are allies and members of the board of directors of the Colombian Chinese Chamber of Investment and and Commerce, we work with the support and advice of ProColombia and have created regional acceleration processes of the agro-industrial sector with the Chamber of Commerce of Ibagué to strengthen the country brand at the different fairs around the world and generate export opportunities in the international trade.

A company with projection

During our trajectory, we have achieved significant achievements such as being selected by Barack Obama’s administration in 2016 to represent China and Colombia at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit GES in Silicon Valley, S.F., California an international business representation project. In 2018, we accompanied President Ivan Duque, ministers, and important unions, on his diplomatic and trade visit to China during which economic cooperation agreements were implemented between the two countries in different sectors such as agriculture, education, trade and infrastructure, and the market was opened to different Colombian products in the Asian Giant to increase exports of products such as meat, coffee, bananas and Hass avocado.

International Path

2019 was a momentous year for our company because we registered our brand in Colombia and we were part of the Colombian commission that was invited to the Source India Fair in the city of Mumbai, which had the participation of 150 buyers from 40 Latin American countries, Africa, Europe and South Asia. This commission allowed us to identify business opportunities in fashion trends, with leading exporters from this country, as well as interact and build relationships with suppliers and logistics operators; as a result, we started operations in India, with the support of the Colombia – India Chamber of Commerce and Industry and our strategic alliances with different unions, entities and local suppliers.
